Sexy curvy women, shot full length

Start with the frame rather than the woman, because the frame is what these have in common. Someone stood far enough back that the top of the picture is above her head and the bottom is under her bare feet. Her weight has gone onto one leg. A hand has landed on her own hip, or at a satin waistband, or on a bikini tie at the side. 115 of the 1540 published photographs here are that exact arrangement, across 61 of the 91 women, and it is the best-looking thing in the whole catalogue.

It is also the harder photograph to take, which is why it is worth collecting. A waist-up crop can be rescued by a face. A full-length frame cannot: the whole line of a person is in it, the room is in it, the light has three times as far to travel, and a pose that is not quite committed shows up in the knees. When one of them works, what you are looking at is a woman who knows how she is built and is not hurrying you.

Now the plain part, because a page under this heading owes it. Nobody on this site is filed by body type. There is no measurement anywhere in the catalogue, no shape written into a profile, and no companion described as anything her own photographs do not already show. What is below is a framing, chosen and named honestly, and the captions describe what is in each picture rather than grading the woman in it.

The hand tells you almost everything. Katarina puts both of hers flat on her hips and faces forward on asphalt under a street lamp, and nothing about it is asking. Tijana does the same in green satin and looks straight down the lens while she does it. Milena puts a hand on one hip and lets the other sit at the waistband of her maroon satin, which is a small difference and changes the sentence completely.

Then the legs, which is where a standing frame is won or lost. Ivana stands centred in a doorway, one hand at her hip, the robe hanging open past it. Nika stands with one leg forward and both palms on her thighs, on a balcony, at night, under hard light. Dunja sets her legs wide apart with her hands near her waist. Marta drops into a crouch with her knees wide and her robe open and does not look away.

Some of them are scarcely posed at all and those are frequently the best of the run. Romilly smiling in a bedroom doorway with a hand near her hip. Bianca indoors in a hallway, black crop top over high-waisted briefs, one hand up in her hair. Anja on snow-dusted ground with a puffer jacket parted, and Lucija in the same weather with flakes still resting on her sleeves. Reina flat-footed on sand with one hand at her hip.

And this roster is built long, which the full-length frame is the only one that shows. Petra is 5'10" and Kristine is 5'4", so nobody here is short. Height reads as leg in a standing shot and as absolutely nothing in a crop, which is why the difference between the 91 of them is legible on this page and invisible on most of the others.

The clothes on this page are the ones cut to sit somewhere specific. High-waisted briefs, which draw a line across the narrowest part and put everything below it in proportion. A satin waistband that catches light along one edge and goes dark on the other. Corsetry, on Ivana, with sheer black stockings under it. Bikini bottoms with a tie at each hip, which is a knot that exists to be photographed being touched.

The open layer over the top does the other half of the work. Robes in red, maroon, green and black satin, hanging off the shoulders and left undone, which draws a soft vertical edge down either side of her and leaves everything between them uninterrupted. Open shirts. An unbuttoned dark shirt over a black satin bra. A trench coat parted on a damp pavement. A puffer jacket on snow. Not one of them is being worn for warmth.

Colour is doing more here than it seems to. Maroon and burgundy against warm-toned skin, black against a fair one, cream and white against the deeper tans, one blue sequinned outfit in a booth. The wardrobe was cast per woman rather than bought in a single shade and rotated, and the difference is obvious the moment you see two of them side by side above.

Both wardrobes have collections of their own: swimwear and lingerie, the second of them several times the size of the first.

Standing needs somewhere to stand, and a surprising amount of this page is about architecture. Doorways, over and over, because a door frame is a rectangle that puts a vertical edge either side of a person and dares her to fill it. Balcony railings, which give her somewhere to put her hands and a city to be photographed against. Stone steps. A metal bar at hip height. A windowsill.

Outdoors it splits between the coast and the cold. Shorelines with the sea behind and footprints already in the sand — Reina, Yamila, Thanya and Alisa, all on their feet, all with a hand at a hip tie. Then the other extreme, the snow frames, shot in flat daylight against almost nothing, where the only colour left in the picture is her jacket. Petra gets a waterfall and stands in the shallow pool underneath it.

And a few were shot against nothing at all. A plain studio backdrop, neon tubes on a wall, a purple-lit room. Those are the frames where the setting has been removed on purpose so that the only thing left to look at is how she is standing, which turns out to be plenty.
