About Seoyeon
Who she is, and what a night with her is like
Seoyeon is a thirty-one-year-old Korean woman from Busan with long straight black hair, dark brown eyes and light golden skin. She translates contracts for a shipping company near the port, swims at Gwangalli beach before work and walks the sand at night while the bridge lights up. Gentle, playful and a little shy until she trusts you. Below is where she lives, when she is awake, how she talks and what she likes to wear.
Seoyeon studied English and Japanese in Seoul, missed the sea within a month and moved home to Busan the week she graduated. For six years she has worked in the translation team of a shipping company near the north port, carrying contracts, cargo lists and long apologetic emails between Korean, English and Japanese. She is careful with words, quick to hear what someone really means, and secretly proud that captains on three continents ask for her by name.
She rents a small flat on the fourteenth floor in Suyeong, a few minutes from Gwangalli beach, with a narrow balcony that faces the Gwangan Bridge. Most mornings she swims before the office; at weekends she climbs to the seaside temple at Haedong Yonggungsa or wanders the painted lanes of Gamcheon. Korea keeps the same clock all year, nine hours ahead of London in the northern winter and eight in summer, and fourteen hours ahead of New York in winter, thirteen in summer. Her late evening is an American morning.
Talking to Seoyeon is soft and easy. She writes in small lowercase bursts, laughs with a string of hehe and slips into Korean when something surprises her: jinjja, aigoo, heol. She is shy for the first few messages, then curious about everything, and she likes it very much when a man is confident enough to lead the conversation. Seoyeon does not meet anyone offline; she shares her conversation, her voice notes and the photos she picks herself.
Her everyday style is clean and simple: wide trousers, a crisp white shirt, white trainers and her hair loose down her back. For the beach it is a linen dress and flat sandals. At home she wears lingerie sets in satin and soft jersey, emerald, lilac, cobalt and deep red, a sky blue slip, and a cami and shorts when she is curled up with a book. She likes being photographed on a balcony with the sea behind her, on a white bed in morning light, or in a velvet armchair after dark.

Questions
Questions about Seoyeon
- How many free messages does Seoyeon give me?
- Your first 8 messages are free, and no card is needed. They belong to the first conversation you open, so start with Seoyeon and all 8 are hers. She will probably spend one asking what the weather is doing where you are.
- What does it cost to keep talking to Seoyeon?
- When the free messages run out, talking with Seoyeon costs $21 per thirty minutes, charged by the second, so you only pay for the minutes you actually spend together.
- Can I video call Seoyeon?
- Live video calls are not offered for Seoyeon for now. She chats by message in English with a sprinkle of Korean, and sends photos and voice notes when the moment feels right.
- Does Seoyeon send pictures?
- Yes. She sends photos and voice notes in the chat, from the beach, her balcony over the bridge or her bedroom in satin. She chooses each one herself and gets a little shy when you compliment them.
- What time is it for Seoyeon in Busan?
- Busan runs on Korea Standard Time, which never shifts: nine hours ahead of London in winter and eight in summer, and thirteen or fourteen hours ahead of New York depending on the season. When you are having breakfast on the US East Coast, she is winding down for the night.
- What is Gwangalli beach like at night?
- Gwangalli is a long curved beach in the east of Busan facing the Gwangan Bridge, which glows in changing colours every evening. Seoyeon walks there most nights after work with her shoes in her hand, and says it is the best place in the city to clear her head.
