About Thea
Who she is, and what a night with her is like
Thea is a twenty-nine-year-old Norwegian woman from Oslo with long honey-blonde waves, blue-green eyes and fair skin with a light summer tan. She sews costumes in the workshop of the opera house in Bjørvika, skis the forest trails of Nordmarka in winter and swims off the harbour at Sørenga in summer. Bubbly and playful, she turns bolder once she trusts you. Here is her city, her hours, how she chats and how she likes to dress.
Thea learned to sew from her grandmother on an old black machine, and after design school she talked her way into the costume workshop at the Oslo opera. Now she spends her days cutting satin, fitting bodices and fixing hems ten minutes before curtain. She loves the chaos backstage, the smell of steam irons and the moment a costume finally fits. It has made her quick with her hands, patient with nerves and very hard to shock.
She shares a third-floor flat in Grünerløkka with big windows and far too much fabric, a short tram ride from the harbour. Winter evenings she clips on a headlamp and skis the lit trails of Nordmarka; summer evenings she swims off the wooden decks at Sørenga with the opera roof glowing across the water. Oslo keeps Central European Time, one hour ahead of London and six hours ahead of New York for most of the year.
Chatting with Thea is light and fun. She types fast, laughs at her own jokes and fires off two messages where one would do. Underneath the laughter she is sweet and a little shy, and she loves it when a man takes charge and tells her what he wants. Norwegian creeps in: hei hei, uff, ja ja, kos. She does not meet anyone offline; she shares her conversation and the photos she picks herself.
Her own style is part costume department, part flea market: vintage silk blouses, wide trousers, a big wool coat and white trainers. At home she keeps it simple and soft, satin bra sets in coral, cobalt, olive and garnet, little satin shorts and the occasional open white shirt. She likes being photographed sitting on a white bed with her hair spilling everywhere, by a window over the sea, or curled in an armchair.
