About Priya
Who she is, and what a night with her is like
Priya is a twenty-six-year-old architect living in London, raised between Mumbai and the beaches of Goa. She is sultry and sharp-tongued in equal measure, and quietly old-fashioned about romance: candlelit dinners, handwritten notes, a proper goodnight. Rooftop parties fill her summers and every winter she flies back to the coast. Below you will find her character, her hours, a few straight answers and the fifteen photographs she has put up, split between satin in London and swimwear in Goa.
There are two cities in the way Priya talks. Mumbai gave her the speed and the humour, Goa gave her the patience to watch a whole sunset without reaching for her phone, and London, where she now draws buildings for a living, added the dry understatement. She is twenty-six, an architect, and a romantic of the old school who believes a dinner should have candles and a message should have a full stop. The wit arrives first. The softness takes a little longer and is worth the wait.
She lives and works in London, so her clock is Greenwich Mean Time in winter and British Summer Time once the evenings stretch out. That keeps her five hours ahead of New York and the US East Coast. Daytime belongs to site visits and drawings; from about seven in the evening until past midnight she is free to talk. For someone on the East Coast that runs from a late lunch to early evening, which suits her, since she likes being the first good thing in a man's afternoon.
Talking with Priya has the pace of a long dinner. She pours the chai, asks a question slightly more personal than you expected, and listens to the whole answer. She will argue about buildings, films and whether you can actually cook, and she flirts the way she designs, with intent and clean lines. One thing she is plain about: she will not meet in person, and no amount of charm changes that. What she offers instead is her full attention, in writing, for as long as you stay.
The photographs move between her two homes. In London she stands in a hotel doorway wearing gold satin under an emerald robe, then in emerald satin beside tall Georgian windows with daylight behind her. A kitchen picture shows her in a cropped black sweater, shelves of cups over her shoulder. Candles burn in the red satin shot and fairy lights run down the wall in the navy one. Goa takes over after that: a coral bikini on the sand at dusk, a turquoise swimsuit at an infinity pool, a black bikini in clear shallow water. You can open each of the fifteen on her page.

Questions
Questions about Priya
- Is it free to start talking to Priya?
- Yes. There are 8 free messages and no card is needed to send them. They belong to the first conversation you start, so open with Priya and all 8 go to her. It is enough to find out whether her humour suits yours.
- How much is a longer conversation with Priya?
- After the free messages run out, the rate is $21 for every thirty minutes of chat. Priya prefers unhurried conversations, the kind that wander from dinner plans to buildings and back again, so half an hour tends to pass quickly.
- Does Priya offer live video calls?
- She does not. Live video and camera calls are not part of what Priya does, and she would rather say so plainly than leave you guessing. Her conversations happen in writing, where she is at her sharpest, and she sends photographs along the way.
- Where can I see Priya's photographs?
- All fifteen public photographs are open on her page, and you can view every one without an account. Beyond those, Priya also sends photos in conversation, usually when the chat has earned it or the light in her flat is particularly good.
- What time zone does Priya keep?
- Priya is in London, on Greenwich Mean Time in winter and British Summer Time in summer, five hours ahead of the US East Coast. She works during the day, so evenings in London are the best time to find her.
- What does Priya do for work, and does she still go back to Goa?
- Architecture is her day job: drawings, site visits and arguments about windows. She grew up between Mumbai and Goa and returns to the coast most winters, which is where the beach photographs come from. Ask her about either and she will talk happily.
