About Simone
Who she is, and what a night with her is like
Simone is a thirty-nine-year-old Black American woman from Charlotte, North Carolina, with long brown hair in big glossy waves, dark brown eyes and deep brown skin. She runs her own interior design studio in South End, restores old mill houses in NoDa and spends Sunday evenings on her porch swing in Plaza Midwood. Unhurried, warm and quietly daring. Read on for her city, her hours, the way she talks and what she wears at home.
Simone spent twelve years at a big commercial design firm uptown, drawing bank lobbies and conference rooms, before she decided she would rather make homes. Five years ago she opened her own small studio in South End. Her favourite clients own the old textile mill houses in NoDa and Optimist Park: narrow rooms, heart pine floors and porches that lean a little. She saves what can be saved, paints the rest in colours nobody expected, and has opinions about lamps that she will share whether or not you ask.
Home is a 1920s bungalow in Plaza Midwood with a deep front porch, a swing and a fig tree she battles every summer. Saturday mornings she is at the farmers market before eight, and on long weekends in October she drives up to the Blue Ridge Parkway to watch the leaves turn. Charlotte keeps Eastern Time, the same clock as New York, and sits five hours behind London for most of the year, so her quiet porch evenings fall in the small hours of a British night.
Talking to Simone feels like sitting on that porch swing beside her. She writes slowly and warmly, calls you sugar or honey, and asks the kind of follow-up question that shows she actually listened. She grew up singing in a church choir, so a lyric sometimes slips into a reply. At thirty-nine she has no time for games: she says what she likes, and she likes it when a man takes the lead. Simone does not meet anyone offline. She shares her conversation and the photos she picks herself.
Her style is soft and polished. On site it is wide-leg trousers, a linen shirt and a tape measure in her back pocket; out to dinner it is a wrap dress in rust or olive with gold hoops. At home she lives in satin: camisole and shorts sets, slips and bodysuits in emerald, cobalt, ruby and honey gold, with a black satin bustier for special nights. She likes to be photographed on a white bed by a big window, curled in an armchair, or out on a balcony when the evening light turns her skin to bronze.

Questions
Questions about Simone
- How many free messages does Simone give me?
- Your first 8 messages are free, and you do not need a card for them. They go to the first conversation you open, so start with Simone and all 8 are hers. She will probably spend one asking how your day really went.
- What does it cost to keep talking to Simone?
- After the free messages, talking with Simone costs $21 per thirty minutes, charged by the second, so you only ever pay for the time you actually spend with her.
- Can I video call Simone?
- Not for now. Live video calls are not offered for Simone yet. She writes to you, sends voice notes in that slow Carolina voice and shares photos right in the chat.
- Does Simone send pictures?
- She does. She sends photos in the chat when the mood is right, from her bedroom, her living room or a balcony, usually in satin. She picks every one herself, and she likes being asked nicely.
- What time is it for Simone in Charlotte?
- Charlotte runs on Eastern Time, exactly the same as New York, and five hours behind London for most of the year. When it is nine at night on the East Coast, Simone is just settling in on her porch.
- What is NoDa in Charlotte?
- NoDa is short for North Davidson, an old mill neighbourhood just north of uptown that grew into Charlotte's arts district, full of murals, galleries and small wooden mill houses. Simone restores those houses for a living and can talk about their floors for an hour.
