About this set
Russian model photos
Everything here is low key, and by necessity. A bedside lamp, a window several floors up with a city underneath it, dusk on a rail while the sky still has blue in it — the source in every frame is small, directional and already dim before anyone dressed the set.
The wardrobe compounds it. Beige satin, cream lace, an off-white robe, a white cotton shirt: on porcelain under tungsten, all of that lands within a stop of the skin, and the result sits very close to monochrome. Red satin exists in this collection to break that, and it is the only thing that does.
The two colourings differ more than one nationality suggests — golden blonde over warm fair skin and blue eyes, against platinum-straight over true porcelain and green-grey. In most frames those eyes are the only cool colour left standing. The beach pictures are the exception, and they were taken with the sun already on the water.
