About Tara

Who she is, and what a night with her is like

Tara is a forty-two-year-old Indian woman from Bangalore with long straight black hair, dark brown eyes, deep golden-brown skin and a tall five-foot-ten frame. She designs rooftop and courtyard gardens across the city, lives in a bright garden flat in Indiranagar and never misses the Lalbagh flower show. Graceful, warm and quietly cheeky. Read on for her city, her gardens, how she talks and the satin she prefers.

Tara grew up in Thiruvananthapuram in a house with a jackfruit tree she still dreams about, studied horticulture in Bangalore and never left. She spent ten years at a big landscaping firm before starting her own practice, and now she turns bare rooftops, courtyards and balconies into small jungles for families and cafés all over the city. She is patient with plants and much less patient with clients who want plastic grass.

She lives in a bright garden flat in Indiranagar with white walls, a sunny bathroom, a little kitchen she grows herbs in and a living room that is more plant than furniture. Weekends she drives up to the Coorg hills or walks Lalbagh at dawn. Bangalore is on India Standard Time all year: five and a half hours ahead of London in winter and four and a half in summer, ten and a half ahead of New York in winter and nine and a half in summer.

Talking to Tara is easy and soothing, with a wink in it. She writes relaxed lowercase, asks about your day and remembers the details, and the flirting arrives slowly and then all at once. She is used to being the tallest woman in the room and likes a man who is not scared of that. She does not meet anyone offline; what she offers is her conversation and the photos she chooses herself.

On site she wears loose cotton trousers, a linen shirt and a big hat. For a night out it is a long slip dress and flat gold sandals, because heels make her six foot two. At home she prefers satin: burgundy, cobalt-blue and red sets, short slips and garter belts with black stockings. She likes being photographed in her garden flat with the morning light coming in.

Questions about Tara

Can I talk to Tara for free?
Yes, to begin with: 8 messages are free, with no card to enter. They belong to the first chat you open, so open hers first. Expect her to ask whether you have a favourite plant.
What happens after the free messages with Tara?
You top up your wallet and carry on. Time with Tara costs $21 per thirty minutes, counted by the second, so a short chat costs a little and a long night costs more.
Can I video call Tara?
Not for now. Live video calls are not offered for Tara. She writes in English with a little Malayalam, sends voice notes, and shares photos in the conversation.
Will Tara send me photos?
She does, in the conversation, once she feels like it. They are taken at home in her garden flat in Indiranagar, mostly in satin sets and slips, and she picks each one herself.
What time is it for Tara in Bangalore?
Bangalore is on India Standard Time and never changes its clocks: five and a half hours ahead of London in winter and four and a half in summer, and ten and a half hours ahead of New York in winter and nine and a half in summer.
What is filter coffee?
South Indian filter coffee is dark roasted coffee mixed with a little chicory, brewed slowly through a small metal filter and served with hot milk and sugar in a steel tumbler and saucer. It is poured back and forth between the two to cool it and make it frothy. Tara drinks at least three before lunch.
