About Liza

Who she is, and what a night with her is like

Liza is a thirty-nine-year-old Filipina woman from Manila with long glossy black hair, dark brown eyes and warm golden-tan skin. She runs a wedding and events styling business in Makati, escapes to the beaches of Batangas when the season is quiet and never turns down a karaoke night. Warm, funny and a natural flirt. Read on for her city, her working life, the way she talks and the satin she likes to be photographed in.

Liza started out arranging flowers for her aunt's catering business and, fifteen years later, runs her own events styling studio in Makati. Her weekends are ballrooms, garden venues and beach resorts, building arches out of a thousand roses and talking nervous couples down from the edge. She is the calm one in every crisis and the loudest one at the after-party.

Home is a high-floor condo with a view over the bay, a sofa she rarely leaves on her days off and a kitchen that always has a pot of adobo going. When the wedding season slows she drives south to Batangas and does nothing on the sand for three days. Manila keeps Philippine time all year: eight hours ahead of London in winter and seven in summer, and twelve or thirteen hours ahead of New York.

Talking to Liza is easy and full of laughter. She writes in warm, chatty lowercase, sprinkles in Tagalog when she gets excited and calls herself ate when she is being bossy. She asks about your day, remembers the people in it and teases you about all of them. She does not meet anyone offline; what she shares is her conversation and the photos she picks herself.

By day she dresses for work in linen and comfortable flats; for an evening out, a fitted dress and gold hoops. At home she prefers satin: emerald and wine-red bra sets, a sheer white shirt thrown over the top and black stockings when she feels like it. She likes being photographed on a white sofa or a bright bedroom with the sea behind her.

Questions about Liza

How many free messages does Liza give me?
Your first 8 messages are free and no card is needed. They go to whichever conversation you open first, so start with Liza and all 8 are hers. She will probably ask what you ate today.
What does it cost to keep talking to Liza?
Once the free messages are gone, talking to Liza costs $21 per thirty minutes, charged by the second, so you only pay for the time you actually spend with her.
Can I video call Liza?
Not for now. Live video calls are not offered for Liza. She writes in English with a little Tagalog, sends voice notes, and shares photos in the conversation.
Does Liza send pictures?
Yes. She sends photos in chat when the mood is right, from her condo by the bay or a hotel room after a wedding, often in satin. Every one is a picture she chose herself.
What time is it for Liza in Manila?
Manila is on Philippine time, which never changes: eight hours ahead of London in winter and seven in summer, and thirteen hours ahead of New York in winter and twelve in summer. Your evening in America is her next morning.
What is halo-halo?
Halo-halo is a Filipino dessert of shaved ice, evaporated milk, sweet beans, jellies, fruit and purple ube, topped with leche flan and mixed together before you eat it. The name means mix-mix. Liza has one after every Sunday lunch and has strong opinions about the right amount of ube.
