Ximena, a dark-haired Mexican woman, sitting on the edge of a white bed with a dark carved headboard, wearing a short hot-pink satin slip, legs crossed, chin resting on her hand, looking at the camera; a wrought-iron wall lamp beside the bed — I've been waiting. Not long. Long enough.
